A "not to miss" flower shop. Easter decorations. See post 29/12/11.
Some weeks ago I went back to Ognibeni's. It's a very large florist store which sells decorations and other items as well.
I went to that shop in order to see and buy some nice Easter decorations.
These are
fake fruits to make compositions.
You can also find various thing for the garden there.
Ognibeni has a huge choice of plants and flowers. According to my mother plants are properly cared for there. So usually they have a long life.

Back to Prague after some years. Nice spots and some other things
The
Strahov monastery is one of my favourite places in Prague. It is made of a church, a couple of museums, and an ancient library. Inside the ground of this monastery there are two or maybe more restaurants.
Just some meters from the courtyard of the monastery there is a spot from where you can enjoy a great landscape over the city center.
This channel in named Devil's Stream. It is situated near Kampa Island.
Kampa Island (it is a peninsula in reality) is a nice area near Charles Bridge. There is a large square, a park, several cafes and restaurants there.
Wencelsas square.
A tram used as a cafe.
Puppets of various kinds are sold all over Prague.

Back to Prague after some years. The castle.
The
Prague
C
astle is a complex which includes several buildings two churches and some museums. Its construction was begun in the 9th century. It was expanded and renovated through the centuries. One of its main sights is Saint Vitus Cathedral. In this pic you see part of its bell tower.
Saint Vitus Cathedral is a large church dating from the 14th century. Its construction was only built in the last century. There are lots of chapels and tombs inside this church.
Here you can see a little bit of the tomb of Saint John Nepomucenus. It is a very large and high tomb built by silver.
The Golden Lane. This short street is lined with small colorful houses. Several centuries ago they were inhabited by castle guards and by goldsmiths.
Today several
houses at the Golden Lane are furnished with old furniture and various items.
Some
houses at this street are used as souvenirs shops.
Somebody went to the cinema. There is a small c
inema inside
o
ne of the houses.
The day I visited the Royal Palace; another highlight of the castle was clo
sed to visitor
s unfortunately. I visited it years ago. I d
idn't find it interesting. Probably because I hadn't read much about the castle
.

Back to Prague after some years. The old core of Prague.
Charles Bridge. This old bridge connects two areas of the city. The Old Town and the Lesser Town.
This is one of the main sights of Prague. The Astronomical Clock (Orloj). It is located o
n the town hall; in the main square.
Every hour, on the hour
you can see a procession of
statues coming ou
t
of the two small windo
ws you see on its upper side. These
represent the twelve apostles.
The main square of the city; Staromestske namesti is surrounded by very old and picturesque buildings. Here you can visit two churches and the town hall
(see previous pic; Astronomical Clock).
Here's
one of them; the Stor
ch
House
. On its fac
a
de you see
saint Venceslav riding his horse.
This is
Melantrikova namesti; a backstreet at one corner of the Staromeske namesti
.
Isn't the main square a good place to pose for the wedding pics? Surely it is.
